Faraid shares calculated carefully — a phase-2 project with scholar-reviewed logic.

About this tool

Planned (phase 2): an Islamic inheritance calculator that works out Quranic shares (faraid) for spouses, parents, children and siblings, including 'awl and radd adjustments. This one is deliberately not rushed: inheritance law differs by school of thought, so the engine will only launch with scholar-reviewed test cases.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this calculator marked phase 2?

Islamic inheritance rules are detailed and differ between schools of thought on some cases. A wrong answer here is a religious and legal problem, so the calculation engine must be verified against scholar-reviewed cases first.

What are fixed Quranic shares?

The Quran assigns exact fractions (such as 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/6, 1/3, 2/3) to certain heirs — a spouse, parents and daughters in defined situations — with the residue going to male agnatic heirs.
